Indications
Treda Suspension is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as acute diarrhea, due to its antimicrobial and protective action on the intestinal mucosa. Neomycin acts by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, while kaolin and pectin help absorb toxins and provide a protective effect in the intestine. This medication is commonly used in adults and children over two years of age for the management of diarrheal episodes, as well as to relieve symptoms associated with intestinal irritation.
Composition
Each 100 ml of suspension contains: Neomycin 0.733 g, Kaolin 10 g, Pectin 0.7 g. Excipients: Purified water, glycerin, flavoring, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in those with a history of severe kidney disease, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease, as well as in cases of intestinal obstruction. Its use is not recommended in patients with diarrhea caused by severe bacterial infections or in those who show signs of dehydration.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disease, as well as in those undergoing treatment with other medications that may affect liver or kidney function. It is important to monitor the patient's progress during treatment and discontinue use if symptoms of allergy or adverse reactions appear. Prolonged use without adequate medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
