Indications
Tiazopir is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders associated with hyperacidity, such as gastritis, reflux esophagitis, and peptic ulcers. This medication works by decreasing gastric acid production, which contributes to the healing of affected mucous membranes and the relief of symptoms related to stomach acid. It can be used in patients requiring long-term treatment for the control of chronic acid-related conditions.
Composition
Each Tiazopir tablet contains 10 mg of dexrabeprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the medication's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dexrabeprazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other acid secretion inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as those taking other medications that may interact with Tiazopir. It is important to perform adequate monitoring in these cases and adjust the dosage as needed.
