Indications
Tasedan (Estazolam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders and for the short-term management of insomnia. Its anxiolytic and sedative action makes it suitable for situations of acute or chronic stress where symptomatic relief of anxiety is required. It can also be used as premedication for surgical or diagnostic procedures, as well as for the treatment of sleep disorders that involve difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. It is important that its use be supervised by a healthcare professional, as treatment must be individualized and adapted to each patient.
Composition
Each Tasedan tablet contains 2 mg of Estazolam as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that guarantee the stability and efficacy of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Estazolam or any component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory failure, sleep apnea syndrome, and in combination with certain central nervous system depressant medications without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse, severe depression, or liver diseases. Prolonged use can lead to physical and psychological dependence. Administration to elderly individuals without proper evaluation is recommended to be avoided, as they may be more susceptible to sedative effects.
