Indications
Tambocor (Flecainide) is indicated for the treatment of various cardiac arrhythmias, including supraventricular tachycardias, atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter. This medication acts on the heart's electrical system, helping to regulate heart rhythm in patients suffering from electrical conduction disorders. Additionally, it can be used to prevent recurrences of these arrhythmias in certain patients. It is important that the use of this drug is supervised by a specialist physician, who will evaluate the need for treatment and the appropriate dose according to the patient's clinical case.
Composition
Each Tambocor tablet contains 100 mg of flecainide as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Tambocor is contraindicated in patients with a history of second- or third-degree heart block, significant ischemic heart disease, and in those with known hypersensitivity to flecainide or any of the components of the formula. Its use is also contraindicated in patients with decompensated heart failure.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those who are being treated with other antiarrhythmics. Constant monitoring of the patient during treatment with this medication is recommended to avoid adverse effects and adjust the dose if necessary.
