Indications
Supradol (Ketorolac) is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, including postoperative pain and pain associated with dental procedures. It is also used in the management of musculoskeletal pain and conditions requiring effective short-term pain management. This medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for mediating pain and inflammation. It is important that the use of Supradol be under the supervision of a healthcare professional, considering that this medication is prescription-only. A medical prescription is required for its sale.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Ketorolac tromethamine 30 mg. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Supradol should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any of the formula's components. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and in those who have experienced adverse reactions to other NSAIDs. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, except under strict medical indication.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, kidney disease, arterial hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases. Prolonged use of ketorolac can increase the risk of adverse effects, so the duration of treatment should be limited to the minimum necessary. Medical monitoring during treatment is essential to evaluate efficacy and the appearance of possible adverse effects.
