Indications
Supradol (Ketorolac) is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain. It is used in the management of postoperative pain and in painful conditions such as renal colic, muscle pain, and pain associated with inflammatory diseases. Its analgesic and anti-inflammatory action makes it useful in surgical procedures and trauma. It can also be used for the treatment of dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain). Medical evaluation is recommended to determine the duration and dosage of treatment, as prolonged use of Ketorolac may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Composition
Each Supradol tablet contains 10 mg of Ketorolac tromethamine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and other additives that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Supradol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or any of its components, as well as in those with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal failure, and in patients who have undergone coronary bypass surgery. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without prior medical consultation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, high blood pressure, liver or kidney failure, and in those who are being treated with anticoagulants. Renal function should be monitored during treatment due to the risk of nephrotoxicity. The use of Ketorolac should be evaluated in elderly patients, as they may be more susceptible to adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
