Slender-Duet is indicated as an adjunct in weight reduction and the management of obesity in adults. Its use is recommended in combination with a hypocaloric diet and a regular physical activity program. Orlistat, one of its components, acts by inhibiting fat absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, while Levocarnitine contributes to fat metabolism, promoting its utilization as an energy source. This medication is suitable for patients with a body mass index (BMI) indicating overweight or obesity, and can be used in the associated treatment of metabolic conditions related to overweight.
Composition
Each Slender-Duet capsule contains 120 mg of Orlistat and 200 mg of Levocarnitine, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Slender-Duet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome, cholestasis, or in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Furthermore, its use should be avoided in patients with a history of eating disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney or liver problems, as well as in those who are being treated with medications that may affect liver function. Regular monitoring of the patient's health during treatment is essential to evaluate the effectiveness and possible adverse effects of the medication.
