Indications
Siptatinmet R is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, as an adjunct to diet and exercise. It is used in patients who do not achieve adequate blood glucose control with metformin alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetics. This medication can be administered as dual therapy or in combination with insulin, as determined by the treating physician. Sitagliptin works by increasing incretin levels, which are hormones that help regulate glucose, while metformin improves insulin sensitivity and decreases glucose production by the liver.
Composition
Each Siptatinmet R tablet contains 100 mg of Sitagliptin and 1000 mg of Metformin as active ingredients. It also includes excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components. It should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney diseases or those with severe heart failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis, as well as in those with kidney or liver problems. It is important to continuously monitor kidney function during treatment. Periodic evaluation of blood glucose levels and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
