Indications
Sinogan (Levomepromazine) is indicated for the treatment of psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia and other acute psychotic disorders. It is also used in the management of severe agitation and anxiety, as well as in some behavior-related conditions. Its sedative and antipsychotic action makes it a therapeutic option in cases where rapid symptomatic control is required. Furthermore, it can be useful in the treatment of severe nausea and vomiting, particularly in patients who do not respond to other antiemetics. It is recommended that the use of this medication be supervised by a qualified healthcare professional.
Composition
Each tablet contains 25 mg of Levomepromazine, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Sinogan is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levomepromazine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with a history of severe central nervous system depression, coma, or those with severe cardiovascular diseases. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risks to the fetus or infant.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of liver, kidney, or cardiovascular diseases. The use of Levomepromazine may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, so it is recommended to avoid these activities until the response to treatment is known. Likewise, the possibility of drug interactions should be considered, especially with other central nervous system depressants.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Keep at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C.
