Indications
Sermion is indicated for the treatment of cognitive and behavioral disorders associated with senile dementia and other types of cognitive impairment. It is used in the management of cerebral vascular alterations, particularly in cases of chronic cerebral insufficiency. Additionally, it has been indicated in the treatment of memory and attention disorders. Nicergoline, its active ingredient, works by improving cerebral blood flow, which contributes to better oxygenation and nutrition of brain tissue.
Composition
Each Sermion tablet contains 30 mg of Nicergoline as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nicergoline or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active bleeding or those with a history of recent myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or cardiovascular diseases. It is important to monitor blood pressure, as it may change during treatment. Use in pregnant or lactating women is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
