Indications
Sensibit (Loratadine) is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal and ocular itching, as well as for the relief of urticaria symptoms and other allergic manifestations. This medication acts as a selective antagonist of histamine H1 receptors, blocking the action of this substance in the body and thereby reducing allergic symptoms. It is important to note that Sensibit does not cause drowsiness, making it a suitable option for the treatment of allergies in patients who need to maintain normal daily activity.
Composition
Each Sensibit tablet contains 10 mg of Loratadine as the active ingredient.
Contraindications
Sensibit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Loratadine or any of the components of the formula. Additionally, its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency, as it may alter the metabolism and elimination of the drug.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Sensibit to patients with a history of liver diseases, as Loratadine is primarily metabolized in the liver. Likewise, it is advisable to avoid its use during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision. The use of Sensibit with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants is not recommended.
Storage
Store Sensibit at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry and cool place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
