Indications
Seltaferon is indicated for the treatment of influenza virus (flu) infection in adults and children over 1 year of age, as well as for the prophylaxis of influenza in adult and pediatric patients who have been in close contact with infected individuals. Its use is effective when initiated within the first 48 hours of the onset of disease symptoms.
Oseltamivir, the active ingredient in Seltaferon, works by inhibiting neuraminidase, an enzyme that the influenza virus needs to multiply and release new viral particles. This helps reduce the duration of symptoms and the severity of the infection.
Composition
Each capsule contains 75 mg of oseltamivir (as oseltamivir phosphate) as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients: gelatin, titanium dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Seltaferon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oseltamivir or any component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with severe renal insufficiency or those with a history of severe allergic reactions.
Precautions
Care should be taken when administering this drug to patients with a history of kidney disease, as well as those with symptoms of dehydration. It is important to monitor for the appearance of adverse reactions, especially in patients with pre-existing medical conditions. In case of unusual symptoms, a doctor should be consulted.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
