Indications
Rodimix (Linezolid) is indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:
- Complicated skin and skin structure infections.
- Community-acquired pneumonia.
- Infections caused by resistant Gram-positive cocci, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
- Complicated urinary tract infections.
The use of Rodimix should be guided by susceptibility testing of the causative microorganisms.
Composition
Each tablet contains 600 mg of Linezolid as an active ingredient and excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Rodimix is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Linezolid or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients who are receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have been treated with them in the last two weeks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hematological disease, as Linezolid may cause thrombocytopenia. Blood counts are recommended for monitoring during prolonged treatments. In addition, careful use should be considered in patients with cardiovascular diseases and seizures.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
