Indications
Priligy is indicated for the treatment of premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64. This medication acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and is used to increase the time to ejaculation and improve control over it. It is important that it be administered under the supervision of a physician, who will determine if this treatment is suitable based on the patient's profile and specific needs.
Composition
Each tablet of Priligy contains 60 mg of dapoxetine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients such as lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, among others. The formulation is suitable to facilitate the absorption and effectiveness of the medication.
Contraindications
Priligy is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to dapoxetine or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in those with heart failure, seizure disorders, or who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or antidepressants. It is essential to consult with a physician to evaluate any other condition that may pose a risk.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Priligy in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, bipolar disorder, or substance abuse. The use of this medication in combination with alcohol is not recommended, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Regular medical monitoring during treatment is advised.
Storage
Store Priligy at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children and do not use the medication after the expiry date indicated on the package.
