Indications
Premarin is used in the treatment of menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. It is also indicated for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis in women at high risk of fractures. Additionally, it can be used in hormone replacement therapy in women who have undergone a hysterectomy, as well as in the treatment of certain medical conditions such as vaginal hypoplasia and Turner syndrome. It is important that the use of Premarin is carried out under the supervision of a doctor to ensure that it is the appropriate treatment for the patient's specific condition.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains 62.5 mg of conjugated estrogens.
Contraindications
The use of Premarin is contraindicated in patients with a history of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, active venous thromboembolism, and in those with severe liver diseases. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Premarin in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, or coagulation disorders. Regular medical check-ups are recommended to monitor treatment response and the appearance of possible adverse effects.
