Indications
Premarin is indicated for the treatment of vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flashes and night sweats. It is also used in hormone replacement therapy in women who have undergone a hysterectomy to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis. Additionally, it is prescribed for the treatment of certain conditions related to estrogen deficiency, such as vulvovaginal atrophy and endometrial hypoplasia. It is important to perform a proper medical evaluation before starting treatment, considering the patient's medical history and risk factors.
Composition
Each Premarin tablet contains 0.625 mg of conjugated estrogens, which are a mixture of various natural estrogens obtained from the urine of pregnant mares.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of breast cancer, endometrial carcinoma, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, severe liver diseases, or allergy to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding without a doctor's supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, or coagulation disorders. Likewise, regular medical check-ups are recommended during treatment to monitor for possible adverse effects. The risk-benefit ratio should be considered in women with a family history of breast cancer.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
