Indications
Ortopsique (Diazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, muscle spasms, seizures, and as a premedication before surgical or diagnostic procedures. It is also used in the management of withdrawal symptoms in patients with alcohol dependence and in the treatment of short-term insomnia. Diazepam acts as an anxiolytic, providing a sensation of calm and relaxation to the central nervous system.
Composition
Each ampoule contains: Diazepam 10 mg, excipients q.s.p. 2 ml.
Contraindications
Ortopsique is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diazepam or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory failure, sleep apnea syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and in patients with a history of substance abuse. Its use should be cautious in individuals with severe liver or kidney disease.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Ortopsique with caution in elderly patients, as well as in those with a history of depression, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or conditions that may compromise respiratory function. Patients should be monitored for the possible appearance of adverse effects, and concomitant use with other central nervous system depressants should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
