Indications
Ofev (Nintedanib) is indicated for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in adults. This medication acts as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor and has a positive impact on disease progression, reducing the rate of decline in lung function. It has also been indicated for the treatment of interstitial pneumonia associated with rheumatoid arthritis, helping to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from these conditions.
Composition
Each Ofev capsule contains 150 mg of Nintedanib. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Ofev is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nintedanib or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, gastrointestinal problems, or those taking medications that may affect liver function. Regular monitoring of liver function is important during treatment with Ofev.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
