Indications
Noristerat is indicated for the treatment of menstrual disorders, as well as for pregnancy prevention. It is also used in the management of certain gynecological conditions such as endometriosis and dysmenorrhea. This medication acts as a hormonal contraceptive, regulating the menstrual cycle and preventing ovulation. Its use should be evaluated by a healthcare professional, considering the patient's medical history and current health conditions.
Composition
Each Noristerat ampule contains:
- Norethisterone: 200 mg
- Excipients: q.s.
Contraindications
Noristerat is contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, severe liver diseases, breast or uterine cancer, and in those who present hypersensitivity to norethisterone or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, migraine, or in those who smoke. Regular monitoring of the patient's health during treatment is important, as well as evaluating the need to continue with it. It is suggested that any unusual symptoms be communicated immediately to the treating physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
