Indications
Nimotop is indicated for the treatment of cerebral ischemia, as well as for the prevention and treatment of neurological deficits that occur after subarachnoid hemorrhage. Its use is recommended in patients who have suffered a stroke and in those with cognitive impairment associated with vascular disorders. Nimodipine works by improving blood flow in the brain, which is crucial for the recovery of neurological functions and the prevention of complications associated with decreased cerebral blood supply. This medication is also used in the management of vascular dementia and other disorders related to cerebral insufficiency.
Composition
Each tablet contains 30 mg of nimodipine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Nimotop is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nimodipine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of cardiogenic shock, severe heart failure, or those with very low blood pressure. Likewise, its use is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless otherwise indicated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver diseases, as the metabolism of the medication may be affected. During treatment with Nimotop, regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended, as it can cause hypotension. Care should also be taken in patients with a history of arrhythmias and in those who are being treated with other antihypertensive drugs.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
