Indications
Nimaril (Paclitaxel) is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer, as it works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, which slows or stops their growth and spread in the body. This medication is used in chemotherapy treatments as part of combined regimens or as a single therapy, depending on the diagnosis and evaluation of the treating physician.
Composition
Each vial contains: Paclitaxel 300 mg, excipients: hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and water for injection.
Contraindications
Nimaril is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paclitaxel or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe neutropenia, active infections, or during pregnancy and lactation, unless the benefit outweighs the potential risk.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other chemotherapeutic drugs. Regular monitoring of blood counts, as well as liver and kidney functions, is important. It should not be administered to patients who have infections or serious illnesses that may compromise their general health.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
