Indications

Nefryl is indicated for the treatment of urinary incontinence and urinary urgency in patients with overactive bladder. Oxybutynin, its active ingredient, acts as an anticholinergic, helping to reduce involuntary bladder contractions, which in turn decreases the frequency and urgency of urination. This medication can be used in adults and in certain cases in children over 5 years of age, under strict medical supervision.

Composition

Each Nefryl tablet contains 5 mg of oxybutynin as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Nefryl is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxybutynin or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, gastrointestinal obstruction, or in those with severe urinary retention. It should also be avoided in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency without appropriate dose adjustment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in elderly patients, in those with a history of cardiovascular diseases, or in patients taking other anticholinergic medications. It is important to monitor patients who present with symptoms of urinary retention, and dose adjustments should be made if necessary. Nefryl may cause drowsiness, so it is recommended to avoid activities requiring full attention, such as driving or operating heavy machinery, until its effect is known.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
