Indications
Mvasi (Bevacizumab) is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, in combination with chemotherapy. It is also used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, kidney cancer, and glioblastoma multiforme. Its main function is to inhibit the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that feed tumor growth, which contributes to tumor size reduction and improved survival in patients with certain types of cancer.
Composition
Each Mvasi vial contains 400 mg of Bevacizumab in 16 ml of solution. Additionally, it contains excipients that ensure the stability and preservation of the product.
Contraindications
The use of Mvasi is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Bevacizumab or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as recent myocardial infarction, or in those with active bleeding or bleeding disorders. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of thrombosis, uncontrolled hypertension, or diseases that may increase the risk of bleeding. It is important to monitor renal function, as the use of Bevacizumab may be associated with the occurrence of proteinuria and nephrotic syndrome. In addition, close monitoring of patients during and after treatment is recommended to detect possible adverse effects.
Storage
Store refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep the vial in its original packaging to protect it from light. The medication must be used before the expiration date indicated on the package.
