Indications
Motruxia (Aripiprazole) is indicated for the treatment of psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. This medication can be used as adjunctive therapy in manic or mixed episodes in adults and in the treatment of depression in adults and adolescents as part of a combination therapy. In addition, it has been used in the management of behavioral disorders in pediatric patients presenting with irritability associated with autism. It is essential that the use of this medication be carried out under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional, who will assess the suitability of the treatment and provide adequate patient follow-up.
Composition
Each Motruxia tablet contains 15 mg of aripiprazole as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, among others.
Contraindications
The use of Motruxia is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to aripiprazole or to any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome or in those who are being treated with other antipsychotics.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of seizures, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, or in those who are concomitantly treated with other medications affecting the central nervous system. Regular patient monitoring is important to detect any adverse effects or complications during treatment.
