Indications

Motrin 600 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of various conditions, including:

  • Relief of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, toothache, and muscle pain.
  • Fever reduction.
  • Relief of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
  • Treatment of dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain).

Ibuprofen works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which contributes to its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

  • Ibuprofen: 600 mg

Contraindications

Motrin is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any component of the formula.
  • Patients with a history of active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Severe renal failure.
  • Third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in the following cases:

  • Patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases.
  • Patients with cardiovascular diseases or hypertension.
  • Patients with moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency.

It is important to monitor renal function in long-term treated patients.
