Indications
Montipedia CR is indicated for the treatment of asthma in adults and children from 2 years of age. This medication helps improve lung function, relieving symptoms associated with asthma, such as wheezing and difficulty breathing. In addition, it is used to prevent exercise-induced asthma symptoms. It is also indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, relieving symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and itching.
Composition
Each Montipedia CR tablet contains 10 mg of montelukast as the active ingredient. Excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other inactive components that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Montipedia CR is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to montelukast or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver diseases, as well as in those with acute asthmatic crises, where immediate medical attention is required.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric illnesses, as the use of montelukast has been associated with changes in behavior and mood. Additionally, patients should be monitored for any adverse reactions and treatment adjusted according to clinical evolution. Corticosteroid treatment should not be interrupted without proper medical supervision.
Storage
Montipedia CR should be stored at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
