Indications
Micardis Plus is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. It is used in patients who require adequate blood pressure control and who do not achieve desired levels with a single antihypertensive medication. This medication combines two agents: telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic that helps reduce fluid retention and lower blood pressure. The combination of these two substances allows for a synergistic effect that improves hypertension control.
Composition
Each Micardis Plus tablet contains 80 mg of telmisartan and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide as active ingredients. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Micardis Plus is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to telmisartan, hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in cases of anuria and in patients with severe renal insufficiency. It should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to other diuretics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Micardis Plus in patients with a history of gout, liver problems, electrolyte imbalance, or heart failure. Renal function and electrolyte levels should be monitored during treatment, especially in vulnerable populations. Likewise, regular blood pressure assessment is recommended while undergoing treatment.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
