Indications
Micardis Plus is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, allows for more effective blood pressure control, thereby improving the quality of life of patients with this condition. This medication can be used in patients who are unable to adequately control their blood pressure with a single antihypertensive drug.
Composition
Each Micardis Plus tablet contains: 80 mg of Telmisartan and 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs). It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypotension, dehydration, or electrolyte imbalances. It is important to monitor renal function in patients treated with this medication, especially in those concurrently using diuretics. Likewise, regular blood pressure evaluation is recommended during treatment.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
