Indications

Limbik (Risperidone) is indicated for the treatment of psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Its use also extends to maintenance therapy in patients with a history of manic or schizophrenic episodes. Additionally, Limbik can be used in the treatment of behavioral disorders in patients with dementia and in the management of irritability associated with autism in children and adolescents. It is important that the use of Limbik be supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure correct dosage and monitoring of adverse effects.

Composition

Each Limbik tablet contains 2 mg of Risperidone as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Risperidone or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of significant cardiovascular disease, as well as in those with a history of pheochromocytoma and in patients with Parkinson's disease.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disease, and in those who are receiving other medications that may affect the central nervous system. Regular monitoring of metabolic parameters, as well as blood pressure, is recommended, especially in elderly patients. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with Limbik.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
