Indications
Lexotan (Bromazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as for the management of anxiety-associated symptoms. Its use is appropriate in situations requiring a reduction of emotional tension and restlessness. This medication acts as an anxiolytic, promoting relaxation and decreasing brain activity in stress or anxiety situations. It can also be used as an adjunct in the treatment of some sleep disorders, helping to improve sleep quality.
Composition
Each Lexotan tablet contains 3 mg of Bromazepam as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients suitable for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Lexotan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Bromazepam or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory diseases, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of substance abuse. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless explicitly indicated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Lexotan in patients with a history of depression, liver disorders, or those who are being treated with other medications that may cause central nervous system depression. It is important to monitor elderly patients and those with chronic diseases, as they may be more susceptible to the sedative effects of the medication.
