Indications
Kabiven Central is indicated for parenteral nutrition in patients who cannot receive nutrition via the gastrointestinal tract. This product is suitable for critically ill patients, those with intestinal absorption problems, or those requiring long-term intravenous nutrition. It is used in situations of malnutrition, after major surgeries, or in patients with chronic diseases that compromise nutrient intake and absorption.
Composition
Kabiven Central contains a balanced mixture of amino acids, lipids, carbohydrates, electrolytes, trace elements, and vitamins, designed to provide complete nutritional support via the intravenous route. This formulation ensures the adequate provision of energy and essential nutrients for maintaining the patient's health.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components, in cases of hypermetabolic malnutrition, as well as in conditions requiring fluid or electrolyte restriction. It should not be administered to patients with severe hepatic or renal dysfunction that is not adequately treated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes mellitus, as the solution contains dextrose. Furthermore, it is important to monitor patients for potential complications related to intravenous administration, such as infections or electrolyte imbalances. Periodic evaluation of the patient's clinical and biochemical status during treatment is recommended.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
