Indications
Haemate P is indicated for the treatment and prevention of bleeding in patients with hemophilia A, as well as in those with Von Willebrand disease. This medication is used in surgical situations or in cases of traumatic injuries where rapid correction of coagulation levels is required. It is also used in the management of bleeding episodes in patients with Von Willebrand factor deficiency, as well as for the treatment of bleeding episodes in patients with bleeding associated with Von Willebrand disease type 1 and type 2.
Composition
Each vial contains: Human Factor VIII, Von Willebrand Factor, human albumin as a stabilizer, and other excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to plasma-derived coagulation factors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, as well as in those who may experience adverse reactions to the treatment. It is important to monitor coagulation factor levels in treated patients to adjust the dose as needed and avoid complications.
Storage
Store refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep away from light and heat sources. Once reconstituted, the product must be used within a specific time period, which should be checked in the leaflet.
