Indications
Gestageno is indicated for the treatment of menstrual disorders related to progesterone deficiency. It is used in hormone replacement therapy for women experiencing menopausal symptoms. It is also effective in the management of certain types of abnormal uterine bleeding and in the prevention of spontaneous abortions in women with a history of luteal insufficiency. Additionally, it may be indicated for the treatment of conditions such as endometriosis and severe premenstrual syndrome, always under the supervision of a doctor.
Composition
Each Gestageno capsule contains: 100 mg of Progesterone as active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.
Contraindications
Gestageno is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to progesterone or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in cases of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, severe liver disorders, breast cancer, or any other type of hormone-dependent cancer. It is also contraindicated in patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, or migraines. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment to evaluate the response to the medication and rule out possible adverse effects. In case of unusual symptoms, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
