Indications
Fucidin Cream 2% is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including those infections that may be resistant to other antibacterials. It is especially useful in the management of:
- Impetigo
- Folliculitis
- Secondary wound infections
- Infectious dermatitis
- Infections by Staphylococcus aureus, including penicillin-resistant strains
Fusidic acid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria. This cream is suitable for use on skin areas affected by bacterial infections and can be applied to children and adults.
Composition
Each 100 g of Fucidin Cream contains:
- Fusidic Acid 2 g
- Excipients: water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, among others.
Contraindications
Fucidin Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fusidic acid or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided on extensive skin lesions or in areas where the skin is compromised by severe conditions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using it on burned skin or open wounds. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended, as it may contribute to the development of bacterial resistance. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of the reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
