Indications
Frisium is indicated for the treatment of convulsive disorders and as adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy, especially in cases where additional seizure control is required. It is also used in the treatment of anxiety and in the management of panic disorders. Its action is based on the modulation of GABA receptors, which produces an anticonvulsant and anxiolytic effect. Additionally, Frisium may be useful in the treatment of certain sleep disorders associated with anxiety and emotional tension.
Composition
Each tablet contains 10 mg of clobazam as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Frisium is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clobazam or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of drug dependence, as well as in those with severe respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Frisium in patients with a history of substance abuse, in those with hepatic or renal disease, as well as in elderly or debilitated individuals. It is important to monitor for adverse effects and adjust the dose as needed. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is not recommended due to the risk of rebound seizures.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
