Indications
Excedrin Migraine is indicated for the treatment of migraine headaches. Its combined formulation of acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, and caffeine provides effective relief from symptoms associated with migraine, including severe pain and sensitivity to light and sound. Caffeine acts as an enhancer of the analgesic effect, helping to improve treatment efficacy and accelerate pain relief. This medication can be used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age who experience migraine episodes.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
Acetylsalicylic Acid: 250 mg
Paracetamol: 250 mg
Caffeine: 65 mg
Contraindications
Excedrin Migraine is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with active peptic ulcers, bleeding disorders, or severe liver diseases. Its use is not recommended in patients with bronchial asthma, especially if they have had allergic reactions to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or those who consume excessive alcohol. It is important to avoid prolonged use of analgesics, as this can lead to rebound headaches. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended without proper medical supervision.
