Indications
Evipress is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. This medication acts as a calcium antagonist, specifically as an L-type calcium channel blocker, which results in the dilation of blood vessels and, consequently, in the reduction of blood pressure. It is also used in the treatment of certain angina pectoris conditions, improving blood flow to the heart and decreasing cardiac workload.
Composition
Each Evipress tablet contains 10 mg of lercanidipine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Evipress is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lercanidipine or any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, or in those with severe bradycardia. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless deemed absolutely necessary by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Evipress to patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those taking other antihypertensive medications or drugs that may interact with lercanidipine. Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended during treatment. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it may potentiate the hypotensive effects of the medication.
Storage
Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
