Indications
Edegra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. It acts as a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, which results in increased blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This can help achieve and maintain an erection adequate for sexual activity. It is important to mention that Edegra will only be effective if sexual stimulation is present.
Composition
Each Edegra tablet contains 100 mg of Sildenafil as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Edegra is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Sildenafil or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered in combination with nitrates in any form, as this can cause a significant decrease in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure or recent myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, as sexual activity may pose an additional risk. Likewise, it is important to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment, as alterations in these functions may affect drug elimination. Use in combination with other medications for erectile dysfunction is not recommended without medical supervision.
