Indications
Duspatalin Pediatric Suspension 1% is indicated for the treatment of functional bowel disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome. It is used to relieve symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramps, and alterations in intestinal motility. Mebeverine, its active ingredient, acts as an antispasmodic, relaxing the smooth muscles of the intestine, which helps reduce painful contractions and improve the quality of life in children with gastrointestinal problems. Its use is recommended under strict medical supervision, especially in pediatric patients.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Duspatalin Pediatric Suspension 1% contains 50 mg of mebeverine. Excipients: purified water, potassium sorbate, glycerol, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mebeverine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal ileus or severe liver failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of intestinal or gastrointestinal disease. It is important to evaluate the underlying cause of symptoms before starting treatment. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted for re-evaluation. This medication is not recommended for children under 3 years of age without the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
