Indications
Difetril 75 mg is a medication indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic pain, as well as in the management of inflammatory processes. It is suitable for use in cases of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, sprains, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea. Diclofenac, as an active ingredient, acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, resulting in a reduction of inflammation and pain. It is essential to follow the doctor's instructions to ensure its correct and effective use.
Composition
Each Difetril ampoule contains: Diclofenac sodium 75 mg, excipients: distilled water, sodium chloride, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other NSAIDs. It should not be administered to patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems, arterial hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or in those taking other anti-inflammatory medications. Furthermore, it is important to monitor renal and hepatic function during prolonged treatments. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.
