Indications

Desvenlafaxine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults. It is also used in the management of generalized anxiety and in the prevention of relapse in patients who have shown a response to previous treatments. Its efficacy has been demonstrated in reducing symptoms such as profound sadness, anhedonia, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating, as well as in improving overall emotional well-being.

Composition

Each Desvenlafaxine tablet contains 50 mg of desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. Excipients include, but are not limited to, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, silicon dioxide, among others, which facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Desvenlafaxine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in those with severe renal insufficiency or severe liver disorders.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, seizure disorders, or those at risk of developing serotonin syndrome. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended during treatment. Furthermore, concomitant use with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants should be avoided.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
