Indications
Desenfriol-D is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with colds and flu, including fever, nasal congestion, headache, and cough. It is a medication that combines an analgesic and antipyretic (paracetamol), a decongestant (phenylephrine), and a cough suppressant (dextromethorphan) to offer comprehensive treatment. This medication is useful for improving the general well-being of the patient during episodes of colds or acute respiratory infections.
Composition
Each Desenfriol-D tablet contains:
- Paracetamol: 500 mg
- Phenylephrine: 2 mg
- Dextromethorphan: 5 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with severe liver diseases or renal failure. It should not be administered to patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in those with uncontrolled hypertension.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or chronic respiratory diseases. The recommended dose should not be exceeded, as excessive use of paracetamol can cause liver damage. If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
