Indications
Dabex XR is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adult patients to improve glycemic control. It is used as a single treatment or in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, in cases where diet and exercise are not sufficient to maintain adequate blood glucose levels. This medication works by decreasing glucose production by the liver and increasing insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues. It is essential that the treatment be supervised by a specialist physician, who can adjust the dose according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Dabex XR tablet contains 750 mg of metformin hydrochloride as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to metformin or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, conditions that may cause acute hypoxia, or in patients with a history of lactic acidosis.
Precautions
Special attention is recommended for patients with kidney disease, cardiovascular diseases, or those undergoing surgical procedures. Regular monitoring of renal function and dose adjustment if necessary are essential. Metformin is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
