Indications
Crostox is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is used in combination with an appropriate diet to reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. This medication may also be indicated for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with risk factors such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, or a family history of premature heart disease.
Composition
Each Crostox tablet contains 10 mg of rosuvastatin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, talc, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Its use is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any of the formula's components. It is not recommended for patients with active liver disease or elevated transaminase levels. It is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those taking other medications that may interact with rosuvastatin. Regular monitoring of cholesterol levels and liver enzymes is important during treatment. Renal function should also be evaluated before and during treatment.

Store Crostox at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
