Indications
Combodart is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. The combination of Dutasteride and Tamsulosin works by reducing the size of the prostate and improving urinary flow, which can help relieve symptoms such as difficulty initiating urination, frequent urination, and the sensation of incomplete bladder emptying. This medication is particularly useful in patients with moderate to severe symptoms and who have been diagnosed with BPH.
Composition
Each Combodart capsule contains 0.5 mg of Dutasteride and 0.4 mg of Tamsulosin.
Contraindications
Combodart is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to women, especially during pregnancy or lactation, as Dutasteride may cause abnormalities in the external genitalia of a male fetus. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors or alpha-blockers.
Precautions
Before starting treatment with Combodart, a complete medical evaluation should be performed. Special care should be taken in patients with hepatic insufficiency and those who are concurrently taking other medications that may affect blood pressure. Additionally, patients are advised to undergo periodic prostate-specific antigen (PSA) checks before and during treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
