Indications
Ciproxin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in various locations and tissues, including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as gastrointestinal infections. This broad-spectrum antibiotic acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria. It is especially effective against Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, among others.
Composition
Each 100 ml of solution contains: Ciprofloxacin 200 mg. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, to other antibiotics of the fluoroquinolone class, or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in children under 18 years of age or in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Ciproxin to patients with a history of central nervous system diseases, such as epilepsy, as well as those with renal insufficiency. It is important to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and tanning lamps during treatment due to the risk of photosensitivity. Clinical follow-up is recommended to evaluate treatment efficacy and detect possible adverse effects.
Storage
Keep the bottle in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
