Indications
Buscapina Compositum is indicated for the treatment of abdominal cramps and spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as for the management of pain associated with conditions such as colitis, diverticulitis, and other gastrointestinal ailments. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of pain associated with menstruation (dysmenorrhea) and in cases of renal colic. The combination of hyoscine and metamizole provides an analgesic and antispasmodic effect, effectively relieving pain.
Composition
Each ampoule of Buscapina Compositum contains:
- Hyoscine butylbromide: 20 mg
- Metamizole sodium: 2.5 g
- Excipients: q.s.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, intestinal obstruction, or conditions involving urinary retention. Its use is not recommended in patients with hematological diseases or severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in its use in patients with a history of asthma or allergic reactions to analgesics. Monitoring is also recommended in patients with cardiovascular or liver diseases. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
