Indications

Atomoxetine is indicated for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents 6 years of age and older. Atomoxetine acts as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps improve attention and reduce hyperactivity and impulsivity in patients with ADHD. It is important that treatment with atomoxetine is part of a comprehensive program that includes psychological, educational, and social interventions adapted to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each Atomoxetine capsule contains 40 mg of atomoxetine as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other excipients necessary for capsule formulation.

Contraindications

Atomoxetine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atomoxetine or any of its excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, pheochromocytoma, and in those being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) due to the risk of adverse interactions.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering atomoxetine to patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, liver disorders, or a history of suicide. Blood pressure and heart rate monitoring are recommended during treatment. Atomoxetine may cause drowsiness, so caution should be exercised when driving or performing activities that require attention.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
