Indications
Amsafast is indicated as an adjunct in the treatment of obesity in patients with a body mass index (BMI) equal to or greater than 30 kg/m², as well as in those with a BMI equal to or greater than 27 kg/m² who also have associated comorbidities, such as type 2 diabetes, arterial hypertension, or dyslipidemias. The medication works by decreasing the absorption of fats in the intestine, which contributes to weight reduction and the improvement of metabolic parameters in obese patients. It is recommended that Amsafast be used in combination with a hypocaloric diet program and regular physical exercise to achieve optimal weight loss results. This medication should not be used in combination with other obesity treatments.
Composition
Each Amsafast capsule contains 120 mg of Orlistat as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, talc, and gelatin.
Contraindications
Amsafast is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Orlistat or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome or cholestasis. It is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, liver disease, or gastrointestinal disorders, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with Orlistat. It is important for patients to maintain regular medical follow-up during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
