Indications

Amlodipine is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, resulting in the relaxation of blood vessels and a reduction in blood pressure. It can be used as first-line therapy in patients with essential hypertension and can be administered alone or in combination with other antihypertensives. Additionally, it can be useful in preventing cardiovascular events in high-risk patients.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Amlodipine (as besylate) 5 mg, excipients: starch, talc, silica, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amlodipine or any component of the formula, as well as in those with cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, and severe aortic stenosis. Caution should also be exercised in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering amlodipine to patients with renal insufficiency, heart disease, or a history of angina pectoris. It is recommended to monitor blood pressure and heart rate, as well as liver function in patients receiving long-term treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
